October IPMA Update

November is almost here, and that means the 2026 IPMA Annual Conference is less than a month away!

Over the past several weeks, we've been introducing conference speakers, recognizing the industry partners helping make this year's event possible, reminding members about the Silent Auction, and preparing for another great gathering of Iowa's pest management community.

If you haven't registered yet, now is the time. The 2026 IPMA Annual Conference will be held November 12-13 at the FFA Enrichment Center in Ankeny, Iowa.

The 2026 IPMA Annual Conference Is Almost Here

This year's conference brings together two days of education, networking, industry updates, vendor displays, and opportunities to connect with pest management professionals from across Iowa.

Thursday's program is geared toward owners, managers, and industry leaders, with sessions focused on marketing, artificial intelligence, and the changing business landscape. The day will conclude with vendor displays and the Conference Reception.

Friday features a full day of technical education covering rodents, mosquitoes, ticks, pesticide safety, termites, bed bugs, professionalism, communication, and more.

Meet More of Our 2026 Conference Speakers

Over the last month, we've continued introducing the experts who will be joining us in November. Here's a look at some of the speakers we've recently highlighted.

Artificial Intelligence Panel

Following Madison Bossom's Artificial Intelligence Part 1 presentation, Thursday afternoon will continue with Artificial Intelligence Part 2: Panel Discussion.

Panelists Joel Miller, Andy Smith, and Nick Fugate, with Evan Alderman serving as moderator, will continue the conversation about artificial intelligence and what it means for businesses and the pest management industry.

Laura Rosenwald, NPMA

Friday morning will welcome Laura Rosenwald with the National Pest Management Association for Rodents: A Multi-Faceted Public Health Pest.

Laura will also provide attendees with an NPMA Update, giving Iowa pest management professionals a look at important developments affecting our industry.

Stan Cope, Rose Pest Solutions

Mosquitoes don't always breed where you expect them to.

Stan Cope with Rose Pest Solutions will present Ten Cryptic Mosquito Breeding Hotspots, taking a closer look at some of the less obvious places technicians may encounter mosquito breeding activity.

Kevin Moran, Forshaw

Kevin Moran with Forshaw will lead two Friday sessions.

His first presentation, Ticks: Health Concerns and Controls, will focus on an increasingly important public health pest.

Later in the day, Kevin will return for PPE and Safe Handling, and Pesticide Storage including Chemical Security, covering important safety topics for pest management professionals.

Jamel Sandidge, NISUS

Termites are also on this year's agenda.

Jamel Sandidge with NISUS will present Termites: Understanding Biology, Behavior and Treatments.

Understanding termite biology and behavior is an important part of making informed treatment decisions, making this another valuable technical session for attendees.

We're not finished introducing speakers yet! Watch IPMA's social media pages as we continue highlighting the professionals you'll hear from in November.

Thank You to Our 2026 Conference Sponsors

A successful IPMA Annual Conference wouldn't be possible without the support of our industry partners.

Over the past month, we've recognized several more of our 2026 Conference Sponsors:

Gold Sponsors

Cardinal Pro Products
Catchmaster Pro

Silver Sponsor

Envu

Bronze Sponsor

BASF

We sincerely appreciate their investment in IPMA and Iowa's pest management community.

Our sponsors help make educational opportunities, professional development, networking, and events like the Annual Conference possible. Be sure to visit our sponsors and vendors while you're at the conference and thank them for supporting our industry.

Don't Forget the IPMA Silent Auction

The IPMA Silent Auction is returning to the Annual Conference!

Members, vendors, and industry partners are encouraged to contribute items, products, gift cards, gift baskets, or other donations.

Proceeds from the Silent Auction help support the IPMA Scholarship Fund, which provides educational opportunities for the immediate family members of IPMA member companies.

Whether you're donating an item or bidding during the conference, your participation helps support the next generation.

Preparing for the Next Generation of IPMA Leadership

September also marked the final push for candidates interested in serving on the IPMA Board of Directors.

Serving on the Board gives members an opportunity to become more involved in the association, help guide future programs and events, and contribute to the continued growth of Iowa's pest management industry.

The Board election will take place during the IPMA Annual Membership Meeting on Friday, November 13, as part of the Annual Conference.

We appreciate everyone who expressed interest in becoming more involved with IPMA and look forward to introducing this year's nominees at the conference.

One Month to Go!

After months of planning, the 2026 IPMA Annual Conference is almost here.

We're looking forward to two days of education, industry conversations, networking, vendor connections, and time spent with pest management professionals from across Iowa.
