Technician Tip Tuesday

One of our most popular discussions this month focused on helping new technicians succeed during busy season.

Members shared advice ranging from customer communication and route management to treatment techniques and professionalism in the field.

The conversation served as a reminder that many of the industry's best lessons come from experienced professionals who are willing to share their knowledge with others.

Help a Tech Out

IPMA continues to serve as a resource for members facing unusual pest situations or difficult identifications.

This month, we encouraged members to ask questions and utilize the collective experience of pest management professionals throughout Iowa.

One of the greatest strengths of our association is the willingness of members to help one another solve problems and improve outcomes for customers.

Best Advice You Ever Got

We also asked members to share the best advice they received when they first entered the pest management industry.

Responses highlighted several common themes:

The discussion showcased the value of mentorship and professional development within our industry.

Safety First During Busy Season

As temperatures continue to rise, member discussions also focused on safety.

Long days, increased workloads, and hot weather make it especially important to:

• Use proper personal protective equipment
• Watch for signs of heat-related illness
• Prioritize safety over speed

The work we do is important, but protecting ourselves and our teams is even more important.
